Orlando D. Ashford

Marsh and McLennan Companies

Orlando D. Ashford is the senior vice president and chief human resources officer, of Marsh and McLennan Companies (MMC). In this role, he serves as the lead employee advocate for 54,000 employees in well over 90 countries. He and his team provide leadership on all aspects of human resources including talent management, diversity, total rewards and HR operations, as well as the global employee communications function.

Prior to MMC, he was with the Coca-Cola Company most recently as its group director of human resources for Eurasia and Africa. He led all HR activities across 90 countries including Russia,India, Africa, Turkey, Middle East and Eastern Europe. Ashford began his time with Coca-Cola in Atlanta as the vice president of corporate human resources and culture transformation. In this role, he reorganized and rebuilt the company’s corporate center HR team and headed a company wide cultural change initiative.

Previously, he was the vice president of global HR strategy and organizational development at Motorola Inc. (Schaumburg,IL). In this role, he had global responsibility for human resources strategic planning, global organizational development, HR systems and HR support of the Mergers & Acquisitions department.

Prior to joining Motorola, he was a partner with Mercer Delta Consulting Group LLC (New York, NY), a management consulting firm which provides services related to the management of strategic level organizational change to major corporations and other institutions.

Ashford has also worked as the director of organizational development and performance for Ameritech (Hoffman Estates,IL).

He holds a B.S. in organizational leadership and an M.S. in industrial technology both from Purdue University and is a member of ELC (Executive Leadership Council).

Wendy S. Enelow

Wendy S. Enelow is a leading expert on executive career coaching, resume writing and job search techniques. She has authored more than 30 books on career advice, including Best Resumes for $100,000+ Jobs, Executive Resume Toolkit, Cover Letter Magic and The $100,000+ Entrepreneur.

As the co-founder and co-director of the Resume Writing Academy, she heads up the nation’s premier source for professional resume training and career development. The institute has trained hundreds of resume writers in the U.S. and abroad, including the expert writers at TheLadders. Enelow also founded the Career Management Alliance.

She speaks to audiences nationwide about best job search practices and is frequently quoted in major publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine as an expert source. A tireless advocate of training and development for career professionals, Enelow has planned and managed speaking presentations, live and webcast training programs, the Resume Writing Academy and career conferences for over a decade.

Diana Lee

HR Consultant

Diana Lee is a human resources executive with 30 years of experience leading and managing businesses through critical growth and change in media, entertainment and the financial services sectors. She has implemented several HR programs, built teams, led complex human resources operations, designed and rolled out leadership development, executive compensation and other HR programs. Lee is currently an HR consultant for Sterling Partners, a private equity firm and its newest portfolio company, School of Rock. School of Rock is a national music education company dedicated to teaching children and young adults the art of performing rock and roll. She is working for the CEO to develop its organization, staffing strategy and corporate HR policies.

Formerly, Lee was the senior vice president of human resources for MTV Networks with over 140 channels and 300 interactive digital properties. She led a team of 60 human resources professionals and provided HR generalist support to half of the domestic MTVN businesses, including the Nickelodeon brands. Lee had accountability for the staffing, compensation, operations and organizational development functions for over 6,000 employees. Prior to her eleven years with MTV Networks, she was at American Express and J.P. Morgan Chase as a HR business partner. She worked closely with senior leaders on critical hiring, training and organizational development issues.

Lee holds a bachelor's degree in art and art history from Oberlin College.

Betty Panarella

HR Executive

Betty Panarella is a human resources executive with 31 years of experience. Currently, she consults on HR related projects for internet and healthcare companies. A former senior vice president of human resources at Viacom, Panarella’s role included overseeing staffing, employee relations, security, diversity, as well as learning and development for Viacom’s 500 corporate employees. She chaired Viacom’s company wide diversity councils, volunteerism, training and development and Recruiter’s Council comprised of approximately 35,000 employees. She was a member of the company's Security Forum, Compliance Council and Ethics Committee. In addition, Panarella wrote and implemented company wide policies, conducted corporate and divisional investigations and worked on the human resources aspect of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department.

She originally started with Gulf & Western Human Resources in 1980, which was purchased by Viacom in 1994.

Panarella received her undergraduate degree in education from Illinois State University and her master’s degree in human resources from The New School University.
